I constantly test IPAD various items. When it’s over, I will always go back to Logitech Combo Touch. With a adjustable pedestrian cake and a detachable keyboard, it does whatever I need. The Zagg Pro Keys 2 imitates many Logitech accessories, but at a lower price, so I was excited to try it, I thought I might find a new favorite. Unfortunately, it is short.
This is not quite the same as the Logitech file – much more protective, with a folio coating that doubles as a kick (with adjustable angles) and a adjustable keyboard between it. There is no track – meaning I have to pack a mouse or constantly lift my finger to the screen – and all settings are heavy. For $ 150, one of the most affordable items is the iPad Pro keyboard. But its defect is so annoying that the low price may not be important.
But the guardian
Pro Keys 2 I test is specifically built for the 13-inch iPad Pro (M4, 2024), although you can buy it for the 11-inch iPad Pro (M4) as well as both 13 and 11- iPad Air (M2). It consists of two pieces: case and keyboard.
Using the magnets, click on the keyboard and you can use the iPad Pro like a laptop. This adjustment looks more modern than the first generation keys, with squares instead of round cakes (which I prefer) and with backlight-with an option for a cycle between colors, blue and red. Below each key is the lamp, so it is bright enough to type in dark environments. But parts of the keyboard (such as side keys and performance row keys) shine brighter than QWERTY keys, so lighting feels uneven. It does not seem to make a big difference with the backlight key. Zagg also added more surface under the keyboard to rest while typing the palm of your hand.

It is easy to type for a long time (I used it to type this review), although a piece could have been cherry above, especially as there is a lot of room (the first generation model has a trackpad version). Even if I have been using this case for a few weeks, I still find myself accidentally reaching the middle to get an imaginary piece out of habit. The keyboard is connected to Bluetooth, so you need to pair it with IPad (you can connect to two devices) and charge it. Zag claims battery life for up to one year, so you don’t have to worry about it.
The second generation version has a gap alongside apple pencil, not a flap to hold it. It is much more pleasant, but I wish Zag would match it. Instead, it is made of the same bright tires like bumpers around the iPad and looks cheap. The shield also runs beneath the gap, but it will not be wirelessly charging.
This is extremely protective case, to the extent that they feel like many Micro The things I tested in addition to the rubber edges, the rest of the plastic is made with a soft, matte feeling. The Folio coating can be re -placed on one base and adjusted at two angles. It was good to watch TV (it was strong enough to remain on the bench without overthrowing) and to use as a laptop. But it does not provide as much as the angles that a kick.
