Smart owners ROKU OS running TVs and woods are currently exposed to video advertising on the homepage. Now, Roku is experimenting with what may seem, if it takes one step further and has made it a video advertising game before reaching the OS Roku homepage.
ROKU customer reports are automatically played before they can view the operating system’s homepage. For example, a Reddit user released yesterday: “I just turned on my roku and received a movie for a movie before I go to Roku Roku’s homepage.” Several appearance users reported to see an ad for the movie Moana 2Human beings have a closer option, but some users seem to have seen it.
A spokesman for ROKU shared the company’s statement when it comes to comment, which confirms that automated advertising is expected to be behavior, but is currently not a permanent part of the ROKU operating system. Instead, Roku claimed that it was just trying to advertise.
“Our recent test is just the last example, because we are presenting new ways to display brands and programming while still providing a pleasant and simple user experience,” said ROKU representative.
ROKU to respond to the comments on whether it intends to respond to Auto -advertising on ROKU operating system, which is affected by the devices, why Roku decided to use automatic advertising or customer reaction.
“Unacceptable”
Most of the comments that ARS Technica has examined on marketing testing shows that if the software still forces them to watch an ad, they will get rid of their Roku device before reaching the content they actually want to see.
A user wrote in the Roku Forum forum: “I hope this is a fluk. I have ruined all my Amazon boxes many years ago because of this garbage.
Forum users who were concerned about this change were permanent, calling advertising “unacceptable” and “annoying”.
If ROKU increases its ad burden on customer’s devices from fixed images to sound advertising with sound, it tests customer restrictions. Some of those who have tolerated a static image in the neglected screen may not be more distressed as accepting advertising templates.
One Redditor wrote: “I can accept static advertisement from it. Forcing a loud business is very awful.”
As a brand of budgetary streaming hardware, ROKU is known that pushes the boundaries of advertising. Roku has even gone so far as to show the patent application for technology that shows ads about anything you connect to your TV (Roku has never run this feature).
In addition to Roku, there are smart television operating systems with less advertising. But in general, preventing advertising for smart TV users is increasingly difficult. All TV manufacturers, from budget brands to premiums, are increasing confidence in advertising and tracking as ways to reinforce revenue in reducing hardware prices, selling and innovating and increasing competition.
