But do you expect to find a new era in Binance when the founder – which is synonymous with the company -?

We are very clear in terms of what we want to build: a platform for the best class, lasting and universal. Again, I work very closely with the senior management and board on that front.

How do you like people to think about the difference between the CZ period and the Richard Tang era?

CZ began building the company in 2017, when the vision was quite different: no institution welcomed it and there were no rules or regulations. It was a very different environment.

We have invested heavily in our adaptation program. We are now the most regulated exchange worldwide with 21 different regulatory approvals. This path is forward.

What specific changes have you made to make sure that the types of things that have been in trouble in the past – which made CZ stay in prison – to recur in this company?

Last year, I believe that we have held nearly 100 different courses and programs for law enforcement agencies on research techniques. Crypto is a traceable technology. We want to highlight ways to use this technology to prevent, discover and prevent bad actors in space.

We want to work very closely with our competitors and law enforcement agencies worldwide to ensure that we have a sustainable future and that we can maintain all these illegal financial crimes.

According to the settlement with the US Department of Justice, Binance must be monitored by foreign institutions. This seems to be practical from a practical perspective?

We have two external monitor sets: one appointed by the Ministry of Justice and the other by the Financial Crime Implementation Network. We work closely with both sets.

Our interests are aligned: To ensure that we invest and strengthen our adaptation program. If there are blind spots that we do not choose, there are compliance monitors to help them. They want what we have, and we give them advice on the areas we need to improve.

For me, this is very useful, because it’s not just us beat our chest, but having an independent lens to say we do all the right things.

In the past, Binance has named itself as a global company without a central office. How has this changed under your leadership?

This is what we pay a lot of attention to. As we are regulated worldwide, the two basic things that the regulators want for a board – which we appointed – and a global headquarters.

Meetings [over the location of a global headquarters] They necessarily complicated and have many factors: whether we can establish our talent in that country, what is the supervisory framework, and so on. But we are discussing with several jurisdictions.
