Main Digiton One of my favorite artifacts is so far. For some of them that may be dismissed as a compliment, because, well, Digiton is not just an artificial. This is a powerful multi -team groove with one of the most diverse arrangements on the market. In my opinion, its four songs and eight playback sounds can be slightly restrictive. In addition, it is not exactly the best in the drums. This led me to attach the digit to a base that I only treat it like a desktop artificial controlled by a MIDI keyboard.
It seems that Digitone II, at least on paper, solves some of these problems. There are now 16 sounds in 16 songs, plus three completely new artificial engines that spread the sound palette, including one completely percussion. All of this in addition to the same types of sequences, modulation and filter improvements we saw earlier in Digitakt II (8/10, recommended), but just like the sibling based on the sample, Digitone II has received a significant price hike. To $ 999. Given that the original version is currently $ 350 in the market, the choice between the two is not necessarily cut and dry.

This is a new voice
Before anyone’s horror, the FM engine of four operators from the main digit is still here. While I have seen some people show that it doesn’t seem exactly the same and its principle is slightly cowardly and personality, I think these people are doing illusion. I have loaded several pre -set for the original Digiton on Digiton II and I can’t state the difference between them. It should be noted, unfortunately, you cannot load the Digitone II in the original digititon, even if they use the main FM Sound engine. Apparently there are technical differences between them beneath the hood, but at least in my ear, they don’t seem to affect sound.

There are three other artificial engines where the second digit really separates itself from the principle. In addition to the main FM engine (called the FM Tone in the new model), there is Drum FM, which makes the main sound engine better to create a percussion. Wavetone is a little less glass and the sounds of what you want to find in the distortion of phase and wavy artifacts. Still is clearly digital, but not as hard as FM. Then there is Swarmer, which gives you very thick sounds that are excellent for lead and limbs by collecting the six oscillators separated at the top of the main part. Many of my favorite new settings use the Wavetone device, which is capable of repeating the classic Electro and Krautrock sounds.
