Other leakage detectors. We love

First L1 Wi-Fi Warning Water Leak and Ice Detector for $ 62: This large flood sensor, the first alert brand alert, works with First Alert or Reside apps and accessories. It sends notifications and press emails to alert you to any leakage and exercises a 100 -dwelled alarm that you can stop with the side button. The sensor was relatively slow in all my tests, and the pressure notifications only disappeared when my phone was connected to Wi-Fi. The 5 -foot water cable allows you to cover a much larger area, and I realized that it was warning faster. The tracker connects directly to the Wi-Fi, so you need a proper signal. The sensor can also track temperature and humidity, but not too accurate (constantly estimates the temperature and has underestimated humidity). The two AA batteries last up to two years.

Switchbot water leak detector for $ 18A: This rectangular detector created fast warnings in all my tests with 100 decoration alarms. Using the cortex above and below, the device quickly recognized the water. This connects directly to the Wi-Fi, so you don’t need the hub, and it can send notifications and press emails, although you need to set them in the program. Unfortunately, when I got out of the house, there was no pressure notifications, instead of Wi-Fi, it was connected to a cellular network. Smart home connectivity is good (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTTT), and you can adjust the automation in the SwitchBot program, which will become a versatile option, especially if you have other SwitchBot devices. Switchbot says two AAA batteries are offered for up to two years.

Aidot Wines Leak Detector S1 Plus (3 packages) for $ 60: Connect the plugin hub to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, place three circular detectors in possible leak points and adjust. You can pair up to 10 detectors with a hub and configure it to send an email and SMS message at the top of the app notifications. The probe at the bottom of each detector is completely apart and lasts 2 mm of water before the alarm. With a fixed drop at the top, it could not be turned off, but the alarm was sounded as soon as the water gathered beneath it. The alarm increases to 100 dB, but I like to change the volume and duration of the warnings. You can cancel the warnings through the program or by pressing the buttons in the center. These trackers receive CR2 batteries that are good for up to a year and there is a sign in the program at the time of death. When I removed a battery from one of them, it took a few hours to update it and show it offline. The last important thing is that the hub is a circle, so it may block adjacent media. IFTTT Support is a potentially useful extra that can turn off water or light for red flash when detecting leaks.

Aghara Water Leak Sensor for $ 19: This Zigbee sensor is best used with the Homekit Apple and you need an Aqara center. The company creates a good security camera that doubles as a pole and offers a full range of smart home sensors. These small circular water leakage sensors are very low, so only 0.5 mm of water beneath it is sufficient to create alarm alarm. The leaks at the top will not turn off them, but an iPhone announcement begins as soon as the water pools begin under the probes. You can also play your connected hub with a warning alarm and create automation through Homekit. The sensors take the CR2 battery and can last up to two years.

Suture by Monoprice Water Leak Sensor for $ 25: This cost -effective water leak detector has a design that resembles our top choice. The main body is round and has metal legs to detect water pools and rotate a bracket to install the wall. This is accompanied by a coin -sized plugin that is up to 3.8 feet. Both the main detector and the fast extension sounded the sound and sent the notifications to my phone when it was soaked (though the alarm is not too tall). A CR2 battery lasts, shows the remaining power in the program and alerts you when it is time to change the battery. Unfortunately, the basic and weak program has been translated, you have to dry the tracker to stop the alarm, and it took a long time to warn me when it is offline (strangely, offline tracker by default in app settings Turned off so I had to turn it on). You can make this a little cheaper by buying directly from Monoprice.

Leakage detectors to prevent

We had no good experience with every water leak detector we tested.

Swann leak alert sensor with $ 12: While this battery water tracker (two AAA) is affordable, I set a terrible time. Your phone should be at 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, but even then it took me a few attempts to connect to me. Desperate, you need to reset the screw panel because there is no option in the program. The warnings reached my phone about a minute after I soaked the sensor, but the Swann program is slow.
